Biography

LIU Haisheng obtained his Bachelor of Science degree at Ocean University of China in 2003.

After graduating, he had engaged in the research and development of lithium-ion batteries in several units for 12 years:

From 2003 to 2008, he had worked at Aucma New Energy Co. Ltd. for the research and development of negative electrode materials as a R&D engineer. He first took the lead in water anode production in China during the period. During 2008 to 2010, he served as Vice Minister of R&D department for Weifang Environmental Protection Power. He mainly researched and developed specialty batteries, including mining batteries, military batteries, etc. Simultaneously, he cooperated with the Beijing Nonferrous Metals Research Institute and realized the “wrap around” type for the first time in the world and used in batches for 180 Ah military items. He served as the head of R&D department at Shandong Shengyang Power Co. Ltd. and developed the backup power for 1U-4U base station from 2010 to 2012. From 2012 to 2014, he served as chief of the R&D section of SCST Corporation, engaged in research and development of high energy-density lithium ion batteries and silicon-carbon lithium ion batteries. After entering the BIBEBT in December 2014, he converted the basic research to the industrialization work. He had completed the industrialization of lithium titanate based lithium ion batteries and transferred the 300 Wh/kg of solid-state batteries. LIU currently engaged in research and development work on PEO and PPC based all-solid-state batteries.
